``Most people around here only had research on one issue. The impact work was fairly good as well. I don't exactly have extensive impact backfiles, and your impacts were often very specific to the political issue at hand. I found the impact debate being simple, only having to rely on the link and uniqueness level in round. I liked it, we felt comfortable with updates on recent political events without having to have someone research it. I'm the main researcher for the team, committing probably atleast 20 hours a week to resarch, and to write a politics file would suck away a large part of my time.''

I know that at the beginning of the year, my team and I were busy trying to get caught up with the case debate and it was difficult to do all the necessary research on politics. It really helped us out. Eventually, as we got more on top of things the TF again was extremely useful for our younger debaters, cutting their teeth on finding evidence. They used your files as scenarios, to do updates of our own. I really believe that the TF was instrumental to our sucess on the negative this year. ``The Thursday File was a great way to not only get updates to older politics scenerios that one might hit in a round, but to also provide newer disads that people are generally unprepared for. Also, the TF gives a strong starting to anyones politics files. It is especially valuable to smaller teams who cannot split up updates and write a new scenario (or aff answers) ever week during practice. It is a very valuable thing to have around, no matter if its in your tub or at the click of your finger online. The file is also great for backfiles. I have been in numerous rounds when I used the older Thursday Files for good old impact turns.''

``It's creativity can be great as different scenarios (the farm bill) can be usefull outside of the TPA, ANWR, and Tax Cuts which the updates for were a nice augmentation with my own.
